was founded in1998 by Joan
M. Resk, D.O. to serve the Roanoke Valley and all the surrounding
areas with modern and yet old fashioned personalized medicine. Our aim is
combine the best of modern medicine with all the best of alternative
medicine. With this
combination and your cooperation we can provide most of the answers that
you are looking to receive.
Modern medicine is finally
starting to embrace “alternative medicine”. However, we have been doing
“alternative medicine” for over thirty years now. So, we know our stuff!
Dr. Resk is from the “old
school of medicine”. She is trained and is accustomed to being an
independent doctor. We are not connected to any HMO or PPO or do we have
any contracts with any insurances. As a result we can offer services that
these other providers, who have signed provider contracts, are
restricted from offering by contract or your insurance
coverage.
We enjoy the practice of
medicine and our patients. We offer a full range of medical services in
office so that you don’t have to be referred out for everything. Most
often we can do everything here in the office. We have our own x-ray
facilities for standard x-rays. Laboratory work is available for standard
and advanced protocols of medicine. In-office surgical procedures of
various types are available.
We offer a great atmosphere and
honest answers to the best of our medical knowledge. We try harder as the
old Avis commercial stated. We have patients coming from all over the
country and the world. Call

We do not have a standard fee
for a first office call as we do not know the extent of any medical care,
testing or other factors required.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE AS PAYMENT. Most insurance companies
will cover our services to the extent allowed in your individual third
party coverage.
We do not accept MEDICARE or
TRICARE or give out any third party forms to these carriers. We will,
however, give you a form for
your third party carrier for your ultimate reimbursement for other third
party carriers after your bill is paid at this
office.
